For the last few days, kinja has been almost unusably slow for me. I'm on Android 4.4 with chrome, and even scrolling the page lags badly.
Also apparently I can't upload images

Hmm, I'm not having any troubles on my iPad.

I'm on 4.4 and scrolling jumps and lags, page 2 is smooth however. Makes little sense. #kinja'd

The problem lies with Chrome. While it doesn't affect every web site, it affects a number of them and until Google gets their collective heads out of their asses, the only solution is to use Firefox.

I'm having the same issues. Switched to Firefox, works fine with it.

I'm using KitKat in Chrome right now, too. Lags like hell

Agree - something changed in Chrome or Kinja in the past few days that caused this poor performance.

BTW, you should tag 'kinja help' on this post.

The November 12th update to Chrome on Android (4.4.4, Nexus 5) makes all the kinja/gawker/gizmodo/jalopnik sites incredibly laggy. Some kind of serious page rendering issue, since it's not taking any more memory than usual. My solution is to just not check jalopnik on my phone during the day #GoingColdTurkey
